it was a stereotypical joke, I've spent LOTS of time in the south and even if I hadn't there is a belief among many americans as well as canadians that southerners are inbred rednecks. while I do not believe this is true it is at times funny, especially when I can use that steretype to poke fun at the french.

this was not meant to offend anyone and in all honesty it might pay off to embrace the water off a ducks back philosophy in the future especially while posting in an international forum.
